A four-time Emmy award winner, Janet Bolivar is a Hispanic weather anchor currently working at Telemundo 62 in Philadelphia. She previously worked at KTMD TV in Houston before setting her sights on WWSI in Philadelphia.

Born and raised partly in Puerto Rico, Janet is very well versed and educated when it comes to matters regarding weather. From a young age, she was always intrigued by weather and climate as a whole. Janet attended the University of Puerto Rico where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism.
Thereafter, she sought to improve her expertise in the field of weather and joined Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico where she earned her Master’s degree in International Communication. However, Janet’s hunger for academia does not end there as she is currently pursuing her meteorology certification at Mississippi State University.
Early in her career, Janet worked at GFR Media in San Juan, Puerto Rico where she served as a reporter for six years. Thereafter, she left Puerto Rico and relocated to the United States where she landed a job at Telemundo Arizona. In the Arizona station, she served as a field weather reporter and weather anchor. After spending two years in Arizona, she joined Telemundo Houston (KTMD TV).
Four Emmys later, Janet now works full time at Telemundo 62 (WWSI) in Philadelphia. At the station, Miss Bolivar serves as a weather anchor for Noticiero Telemundo 62 alongside Alberto Rullán and Belén Smole anchoring on weekday evenings at 5pm, 6pm and 11pm. She joined the station in April 18.
