Rob Duns Biography
Rob Duns is an American news journalist working for NBC 2 as a meteorologist and reporter. He joined the station in May 2014 and has remained a valued member of the station ever since.

A serial award winner, Duns has been awarded five awards from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association for his reporting and news writing. His interest in journalism came when he was quite young and living in the Lake Effect snow belt territory around the Great Lakes.
In 2013, voters of City Pages’ “Best of the Wausau Area” picked him as runner-up in the “Favorite Weather Forecaster” category. Rob created three documentaries in college, receiving student film festival awards in the United States and Canada.
At NBC, he has covered several projects as well as hosted a number of shows including the “A-Team” academic challenge. Duns has also reported from Ice Caves in Lake Superior and has interviewed several persons of interest. In addition, he also escorted veterans on an honor flight to Washington D.C.
Prior to joining NBC 2, she worked as a meteorology instructor at the School District of Lee County where he taught two sessions of Introduction to Meteorology for pilots and weather enthusiasts at Lee County’s Lifelong Learning Program.
In addition, he also worked at WAOW TV in Wausau, Wisconsin on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as an evening meteorologist. She also produced, reported, and edited “Wandering Wisconsin”, a weekly feature segment.
From July 2006 to February 2007, he worked at OSTN News in Cleveland, Ohio where he anchored OSTN News national newsmagazine program for Open Student Television network.
Aside from his on-screen work, Rob also has experience in radio as he was the Station manager for WJCU-FM in Cleveland, Ohio from June 2006 to December 2010.
