Fogarty jumpstarted her career working at BBC as a trainee at Radio Humberside, Radio Bristol, Radio Sheffield, and Radio Guemsey. Thereafter, she landed a co-host job at Radio Merseyside breakfast show. She then moved to Merseyside Tonight in 1998 and later on to Radio 4 in 1994.
