Internships
Miss Zauner started her career interning at CBS News in Greater Chicago Area. While she was at CBS, she was tasked with researching and reporting on investigative pieces, conducting phone interviews as well as communicating with viewers and tipsters. She also assisted reporters in the field.
Thereafter, she joined WLUK Fox 11 in May 2014 as an intern where she stayed for four months in Wisconsin. At WLUK, she assisted in various tasks in the newsroom as well as writing and editing her own packages.
Upon completing her internship at WLUK, she turned her interest to CNN which was more than happy to employ her as an intern. She served as a Newsource intern from September 2014 to December 2014 before joining WREX TV in Rockford, Illinois where she completed her internship.

Two years later, Zauner was promoted and employed as an anchor for the station’s News 12 This Morning. She served as an anchor at WRDW until 2020, completing 4 years of commendable work.
